JODHPUR MEHRANGARH FORT
This is one of the most attractive places of Jodhpur and also one of the largest forts in India. The
Mehrangarh Fort situated 410 feet above the city of Jodhpur which was built around 1459 by Rao
Jodha. There are seven gates that can be used to enter the Mehrangarh Fort. These gates were made in
the honor of the victory over Bikaner and Jaipur armies.

UMAID BHAWAN PLACE IN JODHPUR
The Grand Umaid Bhawan Palace is a favorite spot for tourists visiting the city. The palace was made
between 1928 to 1943 by Maharaja Umaid Singh, and architecture was design by British citizen Henry
Lanchester which shows a blend of eastern western architectural influences.

JASWANT THADA
Jaswant Thada is a memorial site built by Maharaja Sardar Singh for the memory of his father, Maharaja
Jaswant Singh II, who was 33rd Rathore ruler of Jodhpur. White marble work done is so fine that the
outer surface of the whole building gives a warm glow during sunlight. There you can see a variety of
paintings and portraits of Jodhpur rulers.

MANDORE GARDEN IN JODHPUR
This is a situated to the north of Jodhpur, here you can see Ravan temple, which was built at the native
place of Madodari (Ravan wife) before 1459 AD. Mandore was the state of Marwar (Jodhpur), and later
Rao Jodha, shifted the capital to the Jodhpur.

Mehrangarh Fort give great bird eye view from top. Never forget to take few fun selfie from top where to see all cities painted in blue. In main place where you see Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Zenana Dude, Takht Vilas and Janki Mahal. In fort there are two temple located inside the for Chamunda Devi Temple and Nagnechi Ji Temple which dedicated to God of Durga and The Kuldevevi respectively.

The Grand Umaid Bhawan Palace a favorite with tourist visiting the city, The palace was made between 1928 to 1943  by Maharaja Umaid Singh, and architecture design by British citizen Henry Lanchester which shows a blend of eastern western architectural influences.


The Umaid Bhawan Palace is a lavish art deco monument which was built as a public relief and employment project during a long period of drought. A special type of sandstone (Chittor sandstone) and about one million square feet of the finest marble was used for its construction. It has 347 rooms, many courtyards, hotel (Taj Palace), and a banquet hall.

Jaswant Thada

This is a memorial site It is a marble marvel in Jodhpur which is commonly known as the Taj Mahal of Marwar. Jaswant Thada is named after Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and was built by his son  Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1899 and made up of pure white marble that still retains all of its allure. The cenotaphs and domes carved in traditional Rajasthani fashion make this monument a charming sight to behold. Pillars and Arches around the main marble monuments are adorned with delicate carvings. The memorials inside the monuments are beautifully decorated with elaborate artwork, paintings and pictures of the deceased rulers.
